The Yukon Young Authors' Conference is held annually in Whitehorse, Yukon to give aspiring student writers from Yukon communities the chance to work with professional writers.

The stated objective of the Conference is to give young writers an opportunity to meet and work with published writers and to meet and share writing and ideas with other students.

Each year, five published authors from across Canada visit the territory for the two-day conference. While they are here, they also take part in the Yukon Writers' Festival which involves public readings in Whitehorse and in Haines Junction. As well, there will be book signings at Mac’s Fireweed during the Yukon Writers’ Festival. This year, 2011, is the 31th anniversary of the Young Authors' Conference and the 20th anniversary of the Yukon Writers' Festival.
