Del Van Gorder is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school in Central Yukon. We are a community-based school that has a long history of educational excellence in a setting that celebrates the unique gifts each student brings to the school.

In mid May Faro's Crane and Sheep Viewing Festival celebrates the yearly migration of one quarter of a million Sandhill Cranes over the Tintina Trench and the unique Fannin Sheep, a colour phase of Dall (Thinhorn) Sheep.

For those fortunate to live in Faro or those that have lived here, there is no doubt that this is a special community, likely not to be found anywhere else."
