French

At Grey Mountain Primary, students in Grades 1, 2, and 3 receive 30 minutes of French 3 days a week. Kindergarten this year will receive an introduction to French once a week for 30 minutes.

We are using a method called AIM (Accelerated Integrated Method) which teaches vocabulary through the use of gestures. Through plays and songs and vocabulary games, the students are encouraged to speak French as much as possible to create a "French Only" classroom.
