Counselling Services at Porter Creek Secondary are designed as a support service for students and also as an advisory service and resource for teachers and parents. School counsellors provide the following services: 

  • Assistance with program planning and course selection
  • Information on post-secondary training and scholarships;
  • Information on student exchangesStudy skills, time management, and locating tutoring assistance
  • Assistance with career planning
  • Personal counselling to deal with social and emotional problems
  • Liaison with special programs in the school
  • Small group counselling based on common identified needs

Students, parents, or teachers may contact a counsellor directly or by appointment through the school office.
