Destroyers for World War 11

A hundred years ago when the torpedo was introducted many different navys needed ships to launch there new weapon. These ships In the begginging of WW11 Canada got 6 destroyers from Britian's Navy ( the Royal Navy ). All six of these ships were names after Canadian Rivers so therefor they are know as "River" class destroyers. These destroyers had 1375 tons of desplacement, 329 feet long, 33 feet in beam, and drew 10 feet of water. The destroyers had 30,000 horsepower which ment that they could travel at a top speed of 31 knots. These ships could manover quickly, which worked well concerding that there main use was to drop tordedos.
