The Alaska Highway

The Alaska highway , a modern engineering marvel, stretches 2 288 km (1 422 miles). The Highway starts at mile 0 in Dawson Creek, BC and ends at Delta Junction, Alaska. It was built in 1942 by American military personnel in a period of 8 months! These photos show the camps the military used while building the highway.
