Overview
This site was developed in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada
(NFB), the Klondike Institute
of Arts and Culture (KIAC)
and the Yukon Film Commission. The purpose of this site is to promote the
development of animations produced by Yukon students and educators. Submitted
animations
are
showcased
in the gallery and
both students and teachers can use the workshops and resources to learn more.
This site was developed during the 2003 KIAC Youth
Arts Enrichments Program as part of the the animation workshop put on by the NFB and
supported by Trevor Mead-Robins. Special thanks to Scott and Eric of the NFB
and Dave and Jen of KIAC and to the students participating in the program.

News The 13th Annual Festival of Francophone Films was a great success with a record of eight sold-out presentations. The Board of Cinémental is very pleased with the enthusiastic public support the festival has received.
L'Épi d'or, the award for the public's favorite short film, was presented to $ (argent) in the amateur category. This animated short from the Festival des vidéastes du Manitoba, was produced by students from École Émilie-Tremblay in the Yukon.
The winners of the Silence, on court! awards for the best French-Canadian short film, as determined by a jury, were as follows:

For presenting a topical theme with creativity and skillfully combining the movement of images with the pace of the music.
