Check out some of the feedback we have received by email

UBC, Kelowna, BC am enrolled in the Teache-Librarian program at UBC. I have been directed to your school website as a resource. It was used as an example of a school that catalogues digital resources. I would like to know if you are the one responsible for keep the site up to date and developing the site. I have found such valuable resources on the site and I thank you for and your colleagues for sharing your resources on the web.
Fantastic site!

Sandra Lee is my instructor and she is the one who led me to your site.  I have used Webquests in my teaching before and I hope to do it more next year.  I have a real interest in using and creating them. I hope to spend part of my leave and summer developing some WebQuests for my class next year.
Your site is so wonderful and laid out very well. I can really see that your staff uses technology as a tool. You have clearly conveyed that message to me.  Your school is very fortunate to have you on board. I imagine you spend countless hours on your site. It really does show!
Kindest regards,

Ottawa, Ontario Thank-you so much and it is always such a pleasure to connect with other teachers who are dedicated to media literacy. I really like your web pages/resources. In fact I was wondering if it would be alright if we link to it. We will be adding resources to the National Media Education Week portal page, so educators can get ideas and see how other teachers are incorporating media education in the classroom. Also on the MNet Web site we have started a new recommended section that links to Web sites created by teachers – which would be another place I would like to add the link. Thanks again, I hope you have a great weekend. Thank-you very much, Warren, Education Content Developer, Media Awareness Network

Cook, Australia I was just on your excellent webpage showing a colleague the Wallaroo image (he'd just run over one & didn't even know what it was). Kind of sad and telling that we find the best image on a foreign site. You are all to be congratulated, this is a magnificent site, your students are lucky to have it. If the website is anything to go by, you've got a great school. Good luck to all with the school & best regards from a passionate part-time Australian wildlife carer,

Salem, Mass. USA I just discovered your webquest on Artists. I would like to request permission to modify it to meet the needs of the project I have in mind. I teach grades 3-5 in a small independent school. We are just beginning a research project on 14 artists--some of which are on your list. I have not used webquests before, and find them --yours very exciting. I will be adding in research in both books and videos as well as the internet. I am happy to give you credit, should you grant me permission. I'd be happy to share my ideas as well, but am not sure I get them from a document onto a webquest. Thank you,

Watrous, Saskatchewan Hello there: I am a teacher at Watrous Elementary School, WES too, in Saskatchewan.  We are just in the process of designing a web page and I was looking at several.  I came across yours and was very impressed with this site.   What did you use to design this website - Dreamweaver?  How do you update this site and who does it?  How much time out of the week does it take to do the upgrades?  Pass on my accolades about this site to those that deserve it. Trudi

I have just finished writing a chapter for a textbook to be published in Canada. In my chapter "Exploring Online Learning Resources", I showcase two exceptional school websites in Canada. They are Prince of Wales Secondary in Vancouver and Whitehorse Elementary School. The editor has requested that I send along a screen shot of the Whitehorse Elementary website. With your permission, I would like to send a screen shot of one of the theme or webquest pages.Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Kennett Square, Pennsylvania I felt so strongly about your website that I thought I'd email.  I hope this comes through.  Please pass it to whoever should be congratulated for the effort it takes to create and sustain a website like this.

I have just finished reading "Signora Da Vinci" by Robin Maxwell- a novel about Leonardo Da Vinci and his mother Catarina. Having finished, I went to Wikipedia to look up more information on Leonardo's life.  One of the links was to a report done by someone in the 5th or 6th grade at Whitehorse Elementary (Noah?)....about Leonardo, his life and his art.  I read that, then started to explore the rest of the website.

I have to tell you...my children left elementary school 15 or so years ago but if they were still the right age, I'd move to Whitehorse immediately!  Your website is wonderful. Clear, inventive, amusing, informative....and astoundingly - up to date.  I was originally, once upon a time, a teacher and educational psychologist in England, and I often find that this has given me a rather different perspective on elementary education.  Your web site had all the things I would want from a web site at my children's school!  it definitely reflects that the school is vibrant and energetic and thoughtful.  It brims over with the implication that children are valued and listened to.  Terrific. Congratulations to all. Caroline Smith

Confederation College, Fort Frances, Ontario I would just like to take a moment to introduce myself. I am an instructor at Confederation College, Fort Frances, Ontario.

Let me first say; I deliver website workshops at the college and I love your web site! I also teach Web Quest design to our 2nd year EA students and I have been using your web site as a Web Quest resource for the past 5 years. Thank you, Cathy Tysz
