I Am From Poem
I am from Riverdale, where my daycare was across the street,
I am from moving, to a blue house on Stewart Road.
I am from my dog Lucy, who loves the backyard,
she got a basketball for Christmas and plays with it like soccer.
I am from renovations, when we got a bay window,
I am from a jungle gym, which is so very old.
I am from a skating rink, right across from my house,
Although its so close, I barely ever go there.
I am from my grandparents who live in Prince Rupert.
Uncle Ole, Grandma Jan and my grandpa we call Burp.
I am from the sayings in my house, although there are not very many,
But if you count my moms, she usually says Bite me.
I am from tacos with meat, lettuce and cheese,
I am from that yummy chocolate ice cream.
I am from being a kid and throwing up on my dad,
I am from him laughing and not getting mad.
I am from playing pool at Frasers with my friends,
I am from walking around Riverdale until it is time for bed.
I am from being in Sofies class and having a haunted house,
I am from never being as sneaky as a mouse.
I am from my friends, Naomi, Shaun and Jannel,
I am from almost 8 years in Whitehorse Elementary School.
I am from more friends, Genevieve, Jeri and Erin,
I am from them already graduating from grade 7.
I am from being in school and writing this poem,
I am from my mom and dad, man I love em.
