Congratulations! Grassroots funding has been awarded to Cindy Marceau's Grade 2's ($300 Mon Loup Wolf Research), Corinne Gurtler's grade 1/2 class ($300 for their Sea Research Project), Lucille Gauthier's Grade 1 class ($900 for the Bear Research Project, About Me Slideshow Project and Zoo Animal Slideshows), the Grade 7's iMovies ($300) C.A.N.A.D.A and the Day that Shook America/9-11 and of course our new school web site ($600). We have just submitted applications for funding 3 more projects:Linda LaMarche's Famous Artists Quest (Grade 5/6 AppleWorks Slideshows), Line Pelletier's Insect Quest (Grade 3 Kidspiration reports)and Sofie Maurice's Une exposition virtuelle de la Grèce antique MissionWeb Ancient Greece WebQuest (Grade 7 AppleWorks Slideshows). We received a total of $3300 to allow the purchase of classroom computer hardware and software. This is the first year that Whitehorse Elementary has applied for Grassroots funding and we have managed to secure more than half the total grants made in the entire Yukon territory. Terrific work by the staff and students of WES!
Congratulations to WES students that participated in the annual Information Technology Fair 2002 Our students did extremely well in the Information Technology Fair held at Elijah Smith Elementary on May 3/2002.
