Frog Learning Outcomes

During this unit students will:

  • develop a general understanding of frogs and toads species by investigating their physical appearance, habitat, reproductive cycle, and their place in the food chain.
  • develop an awareness of the diversity of form, habit and habitat of frogs.
  • develop an awareness of the possible sources of information when researching scientific information; including own observations, books, posters, videos, CD-ROMs and the Internet.
  • develop skills in using computer software for publishing both written and pictorial information.
  • connect oral language with print and pictures.
  • follow a sequence of steps to preform a task using information technology tools.
  • use information technology tools to organize information.
  • access the internet to explore frog theme materials such as games, puzzles, online books, frog sounds and information
  • use graphics program (Kid PIX) tools to create picture of a frog or toad.
  • save to file server.
  • create multimedia presentation to demonstrate their learning.
