During
this unit students will:
- develop a general
understanding of frogs and toads species by
investigating their physical appearance, habitat,
reproductive cycle, and their place in the food
chain.
- develop an
awareness of the diversity of form, habit and habitat
of frogs.
- develop an
awareness of the possible sources of information when
researching scientific information; including own
observations, books, posters, videos, CD-ROMs and the
Internet.
- develop skills in
using computer software for publishing both written
and pictorial information.
- connect
oral language with print and pictures.
- follow
a sequence of steps to preform a task using
information technology tools.
- use
information technology tools to organize
information.
- access
the internet to explore frog theme materials such as
games, puzzles, online books, frog sounds and
information
- use
graphics program (Kid PIX) tools to create picture of
a frog or toad.
- save
to file server.
- create
multimedia presentation to demonstrate their
learning.
