You will create a poem in the style of Shel Silverstein and use Kids Animation Maker to bring your poem to life. 

1. Visit some sites to learn biographical information about Shel Silverstein.

2. Read some of Shel Silverstein's poems from the sites collected below and from the books in our library.
Woulda Coulda Shoulda & Strange Restaurant
The Sitter etc.
Light in the Attic etc.
How Much, How Many etc.
or listen to some poems online read by the author.

3. Take a look at some of the animation projects created by other students.

4. Write a poem of at least 8 lines in the style of Shel Silverstein on paper.

5. Type your poem using AppleWorks 6 and save to the server...ok_ok....CPH...animation_poetry as "your_name_poem."

6. Illustrate your poem in frames using a storyboard.

7. Use Kids Animation Maker to create a frame by frame animation of your illustrations. Save to the server...ok_ok....CPH...animation_poetry as "your_name_animation."

8. Use Claris Home Page to create an html page of your work including copying and pasting your poem and an animated gif created with Kids Animation Maker. Save to server as "your_name_animation_page."
