Massacre at TianAnMen Square Many Killed
On May 4,1989 at TianAnMen Square located in Beijing China,college students from all over China gathered to protest because they wanted more democracy in the government and less communism.
At first the protest went on peacefully while the protesters went on food strikes and other methods similar. Some were sent to hospital. Mao Redoing started to get uncertain about the protest thinking it would be bad publicity and asked them to leave but the protesters refused to leave saying they won’t leave until things are changed.

It continued on for a while until Mao Zedong sent in the PLA a local army. As the protesters resisted the PLAs moved back. It went on like this several times more and the protesters thought they were winning over the Chinese government until one day the PLA’S attacked with full force.
Using guns and tanks while the protesters were armed with sticks and whatever they could find but it wasn't enough, the PLAs persisted and they killed many of the college students, tourists and spectators. They shoot them with there AK-47s or run them over with there tanks . The gates of the airport were guarded by the PLAs so the Chinese people couldn't leave the country.

‘It was horrible” said Alex.” So many people killed,two of my friends were killed in the massacre”. ”I watched the protest progress, first peacefully then it got more violent and more violent, what the Chinese did was unfair”.
Because of this massacre many people were killed for only one reason, åsopinion.
